| About Our Church Dogwood Valley Baptist Church was established in 1845. We still honor and believe the same Articles of Faith that we were founded upon. God's Word has not changed and neither has our faith. Dogwood Baptist Church began with less than 1 acre of land. With God's blessing, the church now has over 70 acres and is home to a Christian School & and Bible Camp for kids. In 1971, The Lord led Pastor Gentry to establish a full time, full facility Summer Bible Camp the last 2 full weeks of July which still continues to this day. Over the years, we have been blessed with seeing many, many young people come to know Christ as Savior as a result of this ministry and many young men called to preach who are now serving God as pastors and missionaries all over the world. In 1974, Pastor Gentry was led to establish a K5-12th grade school in order to give children the opportunity to have a Christian based education and Dogwood Christian Academy was opened. Many young people have benefited and become better prepared to serve God in life because they had the opportunity to have a Christian Education.
